Acer has just made official its new range Iconia tablet. It’s the tablet Acer Iconia A3, a device with a 10 inch screen that we will see quite possibly in much more detail during the fair IFA 2013.
Features and technical specifications
The Acer Iconia A3 has a 10 inch LED IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Inside it has a MediaTek processor model MTK8317T 4-core Cortex A7, which operates at a frequency of 1.2 GHz.
It has a RAM of 1 GB, a quite normal amount in today’s tablets. If we look at the storage we have an internal memory of 16 or 32 GB depending on the model we choose and also expandable using standard microSD cards.
As camera we have the front and the rear. The rear is 5MP and the front has one sufficient resolution to make video calls.
We cannot forget the connectivity, although we do not find anything otherworldly. The Acer Iconia A3 has Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G (depending on model), microHDMI output and GPS. It also integrates Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 sound system and battery promises up to 9 hours of use.
The operating system is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Price and release date
The Acer Iconia A3 will be released in Europe before the end of the year 2013. The Wi-Fi model will be available from October and the 3G model will be available from the month of November.
As for price, the cost is 249 euros for the most basic 16 GB model and 299 euros for the 16 GB + 3G version.
