Good news for owners of Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 terminals. Samsung has just announced that the update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for these terminals will be ready for download in October.
The update will make these two phones compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Gear, the Samsung’s recently presented smart watch. The update includes Bluetooth Smart, which is the same technology used by Galaxy Gear and is present only in Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Bluetooth Smart technology provides a more stable performance in communications with other devices, but above all more efficient energy consumption.
So now we are sure that Samsung Galaxy Gear is compatible with two new devices, because we must remember that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 already has that functionality. On the other hand, note that the Samsung Galaxy S3 skips the 4.2.2 version of Android and passes directly to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The great forgotten in this update is the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 2, we do not know when the new update will be available for download and enjoyment. It’s a bit strange that has not been announced because the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is more recent than the Galaxy S3 and still won’t have, at least for the moment, Android 4.3. We hope that they will not forget and be sooner rather that later.
